Dancing as a prayer. Giving to your artistic performances the power of symbols and images. Over two days, we will celebrate the Circles of Life through the practice of Butoh dance Ritual Performance by movement research. On this path we aim to expand motor possibilities and body self-awareness to deeper layers of presence, as well as to larger, dynamic and integrated systems of movement.
Participation is open to all levels: basic Butoh dance techniques as well as intermediate training and advanced composition practices will be shared. Target audience: All those who seek to deepen their physical, artistic and existential practices, as well as dancers, actors, amateur and professional performers. Workshop will be held in English. WILL LOPES: Brazilian Butoh dancer, actor, performer, body trainer and theatre director. Bachelor in Theatre at the University of Brasilia in 2003, studied theatre, dance, dance-theatre, dramatic body mime, physical comic, Butoh, circus, martial arts, and vertical dance. Physical trainer of performers specialized in the Brazilian technique Integral Bamboo. Master degree in Communication and Semiotics at Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo in 2016.
